Back to Blue Crabbing
My apologies to all my friends and family who enjoyed reading my blue crabbiness. I've been busy. No excuses, really. New grandbaby (pictures later), work, work, work (the bookstore has been a little busy with a signing of Mary Kay Andrews' --aka Kathy Hogan Trocheck -- new book Savannah Breeze); and I'm editing my novel. That novel has gone out to two friends to read. It's a mystery (what else?) and is based partially on a true story as well as my year in training as a massage therapist. Those of you who do massage may be interested in the experience. Then again, you may not--your...

The Blue Crab moves soon
The Blue Crab will be moving soon. Most of the blogs here are written by and communicated to the really young. While I am young at heart if not in body (and certainly old in soul as you, brown crab--and, yes, I guessed it was you since the humor is your best ever trait), I need to reach a really mature audience. I have a couple of novels I am going to be schlepping to publishers via a good agent as soon as I can find one. Until then, let me say I find writing for the public (just a few so far) motivating me to write more. Corrections are needed on the second novel, a mystery that takes...

To the Old Brown Crab
Who's the Old Brown Crab? And, how come I can't get the background color I want!!! Oh, this modern technological world. Doesn't work any better than the world I came into years and years ago. The Old Brown Crab (I don't think this is an old crab, but we'll see) made a comment about how good crab was dipped in butter. I suppose it's to each his own in this world. If that is all we have to disagree about, well, it would be a better world wouldn't it? I'm so tired of politicians running things--or NOT! The people who ought to know better seem to be making a mess of more things than our...

One More Thing You Crab Lovers!
Hey you crab lovers! Whoever wants to know about their comments--well, they should be right where you put them under the entry where you commented. I don't plan to delete any, but I have no clue how to respond to them individually. I'm still learning this tech stuff, so be patient. I work in a mom and pop bookstore and have a beginner's knowledge of books of value. When I first started there, years ago now, I didn't have any idea of the world of book collectors. What I know now is a little more and I can tell a little something about first editions. Even as an English major in college I...
