A Sadness In Cindy
Cindy Jo Taylor
I will be your friend forever,
Is what the message said;
But then I said something wrong,
Now she wishes I was dead.
Friends supposed to be forever,
But how long does forever last?
A year, a month, a week, a day?
Forever goes very fast.
Someone you'll know for eternity,
When time will never end;
A person you enjoy forever,
That is really a friend.
Someone who cares when you hurt,
To show you that they care;
Someone who feels the pain you have,
And your sorrows they do share.
And if you are in a terible need,
And a lot of anger in your heart;
A friend will try...

THE WOMAN IN THE SHOEBy Cindy Jo TaylorThere was a young woman,Who lived in a shoe;She had so many children,She didn't know what to do.She collected alimony,And even child support;When granted a divorce,At the municipal court.Momma went to the County,And said, "it aint enough!""I need some more money,`Cause times are real tough!"Now she's on welfare,The kids now have fruit;And the family is moving,To a patent leather boot.The kids no longer wonder,If times will be bad;They just thank Uncle Sam,Who they think is their dad.Copyright 2002
